Like many women before me my interest in all things creative started at a young age, learning first to knit on a french dolly then progressing on to two needles, learning to knit scarves then ultimately jumpers. I came late to the art of sitich. I learned to dress make during my time at college and enjoyed making my own clothes for a while. It was during my time at college that I was introduced to cross stitch, after a few years of following rigid patterns and using prescribed colours I decided it was time to move on to something new. So my love of quilting was born. Having worked my way though most of the techniques I have now found my niche, Textile Art. I dye and print all my own fabrics using a number of different techniques, allowing me to produce work that is totally unique to me.
